David Ortiz Tested Positive for Steroids; In Other News, the Earth is Round

In news that shocks no one, the New York Times is reporting that David Ortiz was one of the 103 players who tested positive for steroids in 2003. So apparently, lovable Big Papi is a phony and liar. Here’s what he said back in February: (more…)

Rules of “Engagement”

I recently got engaged to my longtime girlfriend a few months ago.  Last month we moved in together.  We went from a long-distance relationship, seeing each other twice a month, to seeing each other ALL THE TIME.  Needless to say, this can take quite an adjustment.

One thing I’ve quickly learned is that rules need to be established in order for things to work.  In order for the relationship to survive, each person has to compromise.  This is especially true when it comes to household errands and chores.  These tasks need to be split up and assigned in order to make things go smoothly.

A short intro…

Hey everyone. John S. here.  Welcome to livingwithballs.com:  a blog about things men like.  I’ll be blogging about women, relationships, sports, food, beer, movies, tv and occasionally I might go on a rant or two.  I’m gonna try and post daily, at least during the work week.

Now you may be wondering where the name for this blog came from.  Well I had thought about doing a blog for a while but struggled to come up with a name.  Everytime I thought of one, it was taken.  But the other day, it was a hot, sweaty Saturday and I was spending the day with the future Mrs. S.   As any man knows, a hot day can play havoc with your balls.  They get sticky, sweaty, itchy. It’s not fun.  So after making some adjustments down there for the 10th time in the day she yelled at me and told me stop.  I replied, “You don’t understand what its like living with balls.”  So that’s when the name hit me.

More posts to come once I get the site looking the way I like it.
