I was passed along this commercial for Paddy Power, an online gambling site based in Ireland and the United Kingdom. After just four days of being aired, the commercial was banned.

I don’t know if there are harsher restrictions across the Atlantic compared to the United States, but this commercial seems pretty mild to me. (more…)

It’s time for another edition of Unintentionally Funny Local Commercial—the original LWB feature where I find commercials that are so bad they are actually funny.

Today’s Unintentionally Funny Local Commercial comes from Gary’s Gutter Service. Gary’s Gutter Service offers a full line of gutter, chimney and roofing services to the Rockland County area in New York.

Gary decided the best way to promote his company was to do something that has never been done before: A cheesy rap by a white guy attempting to be hip.

When New York Jets safety Kerry Rhodes isn’t busy missing tackles and blowing coverages, he’s off shooting budget commercials for local, discount men’s suits stores. Rhodes, along with New York Giants wide receiver Steve Smith, recently appeared in a local NY commercial for Karako Suits. For those of you in New York, you’ve probably already had the opportunity see this sad display. However, I felt the need to share this with everyone outside of the area.
