Name of the Year is an annual tournament that picks the “best” name in the world each year. All the names in the tournament are believed to be real. The contest runs in conjunction with the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament and uses a similar bracket to determine the winner. Voting is now underway here. The #1 seeds are Spontaneous Gordon, Nohjay Nimpson, God’s Power Offob, and Just-In Love Smith. These are all quality contenders but personally I’m making a bold prediction and saying that the #15 seed Pamela Balls Organista will take the title! (With the name of my blog, it only makes sense to pull for the competitor who is named Balls)

Like any other boy growing up, I had my fair share of action figures. Star Wars, He-Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures were scattered throughout my room as a little kid. I still have a number of these toys stashed away in my old closet at my parent’s house. However, over the years, there has also been some pretty awful action figures created too. Viceland recently wrote a post called The Dumbest Action Figures of All-Time.
